a couple of weeks this store was having a sale, so my dad bought like 8 gallons of milk, figuring he could keep them cold out in the garden shed and they would last us forever. well they were all like 2 days from expiring and started going bad right away. so now we have 8 gallons of sour milk, and none fresh.
dad is like, "well look on the bright side! we can finally learn to make homemade yogurt!" so that's what he's been doing every day as soon as he gets home. i'm not sure if what he makes can be called actual yogurt. all i know is it smells really bad.
so yeah, powdered milk has saved me, since i can mix it to put on my cereal.
Hehehe, your dad sounds like a real character... But I'm not sure that it's a good idea to make yogurt out of sour milk. Isn't that hazardous? And the smell is a baaaad sign.
Eeew, powdered milk on cereal? I'm gonna have to try that.
