OK guys, here's the scoop

Removed.

The account of the evening was meant for friends and family (OK so admittedly, I was stupid to post it up :)

The message was slightly humourous and ironic, which perhaps, was a way to cope with such a situation--which can be a little bit traumatic. Who would be enchanted about spending the evening with armed robbers with a penchant for tying up the guards?

Although the tone was light, the situation and the aftermath was not.

About strategic editing: A wise old man once said "Anything that shows up on a blog can end up in the newspaper". I'm just trying to protect the semi-innocent. How would you like your name to come up in a Malgasi Newspaper? :)

On being safe: Thanks for the nice comment, glad to know people care :)

Tee hee! I'm sorry, I am very very glad Mr. Bond is OK, but his account is pretty humourous! After this, your family is worried about DRC??

Congogirl, sigh. I can't even begin to describe how weird my family is. My uncle lives in Zimbabwe and we worry about his safety often. A cousin just narrowedly missed the coup in Nepal (she left two weeks before). My potential move would just add to the excitement!

Thank Red Handed Jill! Really enjoyed your blog too. It's very well designed and interesting. Wah! I wish I could do something like that--and you're way younger than me which makes me an old, computer illiterate, 20 something.

Yeah I understand, with all of you being in different sorts of crazy locations. I still think they take it better than my family, who is mostly in New England. OK, a few are in England, but they're English, so they've always been there! I haven't told my family about the job yet. Maybe I should do that...
