Cool Blogs

I have just added some blogs that link to me on the side bar --->

The blogs are all pretty damned cool so I'm terrible flattered to be linked to them. Although, their content does considerably improve by the mere mention of my site :) :)

("Modesty--thy name is Woman", or as my dad would say "If I were modest, I'd be perfect")

PS: I have not asked for permission to link to some of the site here so please let me know if this is OK by you
PSS: Let me know if I forgot any links!

I'm flattered for the link and the compliment. I think my writing needs a lot of work yet, but I'm having fun trying to get better at it. You and Sarah have the cool blogs and your work in the Congo is really important, no matter what anybody says otherwise. Ditto for El Jorgito over in Rwanda.

Wow, look at my Blogpulse & Technorati ratings. They just went through the roof! :-)

So many blogs, so little time! We hae an intern at the Embassy now whose main job is to look at political blogs every day and summarize what they're talking about for our diplomats! I'll tell him to check yours out :)

ammo, how interesting ... which Embassy? It's good to know diplomats are noting what some bloggers are talking about. Offices in Khartoum and the Sudanese Embassy in the US visits my blog Sudan Watch. Many specialist blogs aim to raise awareness on deadly serious issues. I hope all African (and Arab) embassies have interns summarising what ordinary folk like bloggers who have no vested interest feel about the suffering going on in DR Congo, northern Uganda and the Sudan where 2.5 million Sudanese have perished and 3.5 million others are totally dependent on food and aid from the international community.

007, Interesting blog, loved the post on Cloth. Look forward to any posts on African creativity and art. Kind regards from England (hello Bill)

Boy, Lulu on the Bridge has some great photos of the Congo at his blog (or is Lulu a she?). Like I was telling Ethan Zuckerman, I gotta learn some Spanish and Portuguese.

Hi, Ingrid. It's good to see you following 007 and Sarah's blogs too.

You're right Ammo. So many blogs, so little time. Make sure your intern follows Foreign Dispatches (an ex-diplomat on the loose in the blogosphere). Man, the Feds are everywhere! :-)

Hi Ingrid,
It's for the French Embassy in the U.S. actually. Our diplomats like to follow what American bloggers are saying about their government and foreign affairs! I'll be sure to tell our intern about Foreign Dispatches, thanks for the tip black river eagle!

Sigh... It seems spammers have managed to find a way to post ads even on blogs that don't accept anonymous postings... That's really annoying! I wish I could suggest a countermeasure, but I don't know any... I'll look it up!

Beaver said...

Ha ha ! To block out spammers, you can activate word verification in the comment settings tab. lots of bloggers out there have it on. It seems to be working so far !

Some one posted about this feature :

Voice

And it allows anonymous comments while killing spambots!

Does anybody know how to add favorite blogs such as oo7's to ones own blog ? Thank-you.

I see I have to repost in here as my other one got lost. Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your entries on Dakar. Makes me want to go back there fast.
Also your Congo experiences are quite insightful.
What has been the biggest challenges you have faced with international development work ?
Or is that too vast of a question ?
