...In a political kind of way.
Frankly, I'm a little tired of my friends telling me D.C. lacks soul. It does not. I swear. Take for example, these painted televisions that have been popping up in the city:
Painted television at the corner of Harvard and 16th street
I have no idea what it is, or what it represents. But it is art, right? Somehow, it feels laden with political meaning. How very D.C.
Now if I could only figure out what it represents...

That's one way to handle the hazardous materials left at DC curbs every weekday. That is an old computer terminal.
looks like a tv to me
Cant'you see ? They are the ghosts of the Forgotten Souls. The Politicians who didn't win the election. Never ever the showman will smile to them. Never ever the anchorwoman will mention their names. They will never rest in peace. They cheated, made false promises, gave and took bribes, they lied. They were dummy pilfers with no idea of how solve a problem or manage an administration. Why on the hell they didn't win?
okay okay .... CAN'T how TO solve
And talking of arts, everybody give a look to Blue Sunglasses Kate,

Doesn't she look like Jean Harlow stepping down a taxi in that Laurel& Hardy movie ?
Sorry Mike but it was trully a TV... (I almost tried to turn it on but got scared).
Strudel, I love Kate's sunglasses. She really does look like a star (but she always does look like one in real life too!)
Wasn't that whole Borf fracas rather arty? Anyone else remember Disco Dan?
Good thing this isn't Boston. That poor TV would have been blown to Delaware for sitting around unattended.
Haha, oh snap.
Wasn't it just "turn off your TV week"?
aHA! Shades of Blue. That would explain a lot of things...
This does not explain the Ewok mailbox I saw the other day, cleverly disguised as a regular mailbox.
